Parks and Amenities

Placer Vineyards supports the creation of an interconnected parks and open space system within the area that provides for the preservation and enhancement of natural resources and offers a variety of recreational opportunities for the community.

The proposed park system includes 128 acres of public parks and 22 acres of private parks for a total of 150 acres. Recreation programs and the maintenance of parks, trails and open space shall be operated by the County and/or Park District with funding provided from the Park Services Community Facilities District. Recreation programs may include typical services such as sports leagues, senior programs, youth programs, teen programs and aquatic programs as determined by the County and/or Park District with input from the future Plan Area residents.

Park and Amenities include the following:

  • 2 Large community-sized parks: Potential facilities and amenities may include: Little League baseball/softball fields, soccer fields, basketball courts, tennis courts, picnic area, Dog Park, restroom, concession building, amphitheater, playground complex, extended lighting, off-street parking, community center, artificial turf fields, water play feature, and Skate Park.

  • 2 Large open space oak preserve areas

  • 9 Neighborhood parks: Parks in the area will range from 2 to 4 acres in size and serve as conventional residential area parks. Facilities and amenities will vary based on available acreage and may include 10 soccer fields, 6 multi-purpose turf playfields, 12 youth baseball/softball fields, 9 children’s playground areas, 8 covered group picnic area, 6 full size basketball courts, game table, horseshoes, volleyball courts, BBQ areas and joint use parking. 

  • 8 Potential Joint-Use Neighborhood Park/Social Sites

  • Town Center Green: A 3.5 acre civic community park with walkways, active and passive use areas, fountains, special lighting and landscaping and pedestrian features. The center will serve as a civic and cultural focal point and gathering place. Potential facilities and amenities may include a Tot lot and equipment for 2-5 year olds, a play lot for 6-12 year olds, community gathering space, landmark features, lighting and pedestrian elements, special landscape themes, open areas for informal recreation, half-court basketball court and amplified sound. 

  • Several Smaller Image Parks

  • Dog Park

  • Series of trails linked to several east-west and north-south open space corridors to provide neighborhood connections.
